Event Details

A 2-hour open-level workshop for anyone who wants to explore sensual movement and pole dance. No prior experience is needed — I will guide you through everything step by step.

Pole dance is not only about strength, tricks or beautiful shapes. It can also be a powerful way to feel more connected to your body, build confidence, and explore movement in a way that feels strong, playful and sensual. Research also suggests that pole dance can have positive effects on mental wellbeing, body appreciation and aspects of (sexual) self-confidence.

We will begin with gentle somatic exercises to arrive in the body, ground ourselves, and connect to breath, sensation and movement. From there, we will move into simple pole basics, small tricks, spins, floorwork and flowing dance elements around the pole. Everything can be adapted to your body, your pace and your level of experience.

This workshop is not about performance, fitness goals or perfect shapes. It is about feeling more at home in yourself, exploring movement from the inside out, and connecting to your own sensual side in a safe and playful way. Beginners are warmly welcome — you do not need any pole experience, dance background, special strength or flexibility. For participants with pole experience, variations and more flow will be offered.

My name is Leah. I have been pole dancing for over 13 years and I am a psychological counsellor incorporating somatic work into my practice. Over the years, I have seen many people shift from shy to sensual, expressive and confident — accepting their bodies more and feeling freed by movement supported by the pole.

Come as you are — curious, nervous, playful, shy, experienced or completely new.

The workshop will be held mainly in English, but I also speak German, so questions and explanations are possible in both languages.
